IRIS ‘makes it very easy’ for Rotherham Chamber of Commerce to
manage HR
Rotherham Chamber of Commerce has invested in the software
program, IRIS HR Manager, in a bid to centralise all of its
employee information.
Currently employing 29 staff and with a further 20 expected to
join when Rotherham Chamber merges with Barnsley Chamber later in
the year, an HR system was considered a vital investment to save
time. Julie Goddard explains “We decided to look for an HR package
because all employee information was stored in various Microsoft
Word and Excel documents which made it very time consuming to
search for specific items.”
The selection process was instigated by Julie who spoke to a
number of possible suppliers. She immediately liked the IRIS
approach, as they suggested she have a trial system that
was licensed for two weeks. This meant that she could try the
software when she had time, unlike other suppliers, who were
insisting on setting up a meeting at the Chamber’s offices to
demonstrate how the software worked.
Julie takes up the story “I liked the fact that IRIS said we’re
here if you want us and it was up to me to make the time to play
around with the program and get a feel for it.”
“The software does what you want it to do”, continued Julie,
“and it is good value.”
